Hi, I’m Pam Tutten
I am a Doctor of Occupational Therapy and have been practicing for over 40 years. My goal is to help people achieve optimal health and enjoy a fulfilled life. I come from an orthopedic background and over the years, I have discovered the importance of Functional Medicine to achieve that goal.
Functional Medicine fits well with the framework of Occupational Therapy and allows me to add more services for my patients like prescribing a personalized food plan, recommending lifestyle choices and options, evaluating for vitamin and mineral deficiencies, checking hormonal balance, and evaluating for leaky gut.
My Approach
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY: The use of everyday activities to enhance the participation in roles, habits, and routines.
FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE: Addresses the whole person including the interactions between environmental, lifestyle, and genetic factors that influence health.
Learning about you
The first step is to learn all I can about you and your life. From there, I can learn discover clues that help get to the root of your symptoms. This step will include an in-depth history and may often include testing and labs.
Developing a plan
Once I know your story, we collaborate on a plan to move you into wellness. The treatment may include the prescription of food plans, supplements, lifestyle adjustments, education about sleep hygiene, and stress management.
